As soon as I was old enough to hold a crayon, I started drawing on the walls.  It’s been the same ever since, although…not as much on the walls anymore. I was born in Canada to Welsh parents and raised in California.  This makes me a first-generation Welsh-Canadian-American artist.

Throughout my life I have always felt a special connection to nature, and being outdoors inspires me to create.  In addition to drawing the things I see around me, I also like to draw the things I come up with on my own.  To imagine is the most fun.

For the past 7 years or so I have been working in a style that combines pen-on-paper and the computer.  I start out with really small pen drawings on Bristol paper, which I then scan into Photoshop and further enhance for digital output.   I am a perfectionist, and by zooming in at 600%, I can fine-tune some of the details that I cannot reach with pens alone.   I then enlarge the images and print them digitally on fine-art canvas.  The result is a hybrid pen-drawing / digital-canvas, that ends up looking like a giant piece of candy stuck to your wall.

I am truly humbled and grateful for the ability to create this art, and through it, I hope to bring as much color and light into the world as I can.

Thanks so much for viewing.  Have a great day.
