Lone Pine

In a lot of the scenes that I draw, there are tons of pine trees. In the mountians, they are pretty much everywhere. In my last few pieces, I seem to have developed a certain style of drawing pine trees. I really wanted to force myself out of this trend and draw a pine tree in a different way. So here we have a lone pine tree from the top of Sugarloaf mountain near my house with the Indian Peaks in the background. This piece is far simpler than most of my other recent work, but I enjoy it for that simplicity and really let the color fields take most of the attention.
